State Representative Fentrice Driskell

Fentrice Driskell was elected in 2018 as representative for Florida House District 63 and serves on the Judiciary Committee and the Energy and Utilities, Insurance and Banking, and Transportation and Infrastructure subcommittees.
Fentrice graduated from Harvard University, cum laude, with a BA in Government. She attended and graduated from Georgetown Law School and became a partner at Carlton Fields. Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Fentrice clerked for the Honorable Anne C. Conway, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Fentrice also previously interned for Magistrate Judge Andrew J. Peck of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Her background includes representation of banks and other financial institutions in commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters as well as litigation involving Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA), and the Truth in Lending Act (TILA). Fentrice has also handled cases involving breach of contract, civil theft, the Uniform Commercial Code, covenants not to compete, non-solicitation clause disputes, theft of trade secrets, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. She also has experience litigating civil lawsuits to recover criminal restitution.
Fentrice previously served as President of the George Edgecomb Bar Association and has been selected by Florida Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” each year since 2011. In 2015, she was listed as an "Up-and-Comer" in Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite. She was recently named the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida’s 2018 Woman of Promise.
