Carrollwood Bar Association Monthly Luncheon

The Carrollwood Bar Association’s (CBA) monthly luncheon will be held Thursday, March 8th, 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM, at Carrollwood Country Club, 13903 Clubhouse Dr, Tampa FL 33618.

Please remember to bring your $23 payment, either by cash (exact change) or a check payable to the Carrollwood Bar Association (please note beginning in April, the monthly luncheon fee will be $25). Sorry, we cannot accept credit card payments at this luncheon.

Andrew Warren

State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit


Andrew Warren will be speaking on the topic:

State of the Circuit

Andrew Warren was sworn in as State Attorney of Florida's 13th Judicial Circuit, Hillsborough County, on January 3, 2017, after being elected in November 2016. Mr. Warren leads an office of approximately 125 prosecutors and over 300 total employees whose mission is to protect the residents of Hillsborough County as well as ensure the fair and impartial application of the law in our criminal justice system. 

Mr. Warren previously served as a federal prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice in Tampa, FL, and Washington, DC. He began as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia in 2008. Mr. Warren spent the majority of his career at the Justice Department prosecuting complex white collar crime, including investment fraud, Medicare fraud, and foreign corruption. 

Among other high-profile cases, he successfully prosecuted Robert Allen Stanford and other executives at Stanford Financial Group for orchestrating one of the largest frauds in history, a $7 billion Ponzi scheme.  As a prosecutor, Mr. Warren earned multiple accolades from the Justice Department and federal law enforcement agencies, including the 2013 Attorney General Award for Trial Litigation. He has lectured and served on panels across the United States and abroad regarding criminal justice. He has also served as an instructor at the Justice Department's National Advocacy Center in South Carolina. 

Mr. Warren attended Brandeis University, graduating magna cum laude in 1999 with a double-major in economics and political science. He graduated from Columbia University Law School with honors in 2002. 

Following law school, Mr. Warren clerked for the Honorable Samuel Conti in federal district court in San Francisco, CA, and then practiced complex criminal and civil litigation with an international law firm in New York, NY, and Washington, DC. Born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, Mr. Warren returned home to the Sunshine State to continue his public service.
